Bringing their son home to meet his big brother was sweet and exciting for the Youngs family. It seemed as though their four-legged fur baby, Oaklee, had already laid claim to the nursery before Layton arrived. Or perhaps he had that crazy dog intuition that his family was growing and he was simply guarding his little brother’s room? Whatever it was, he stayed in the nursery as I set up for the Youngs’ newborn session, watching my every move and crawling ever so sweetly over to get a few belly rubs at that perfect time. Can’t you tell in this first photo that he’s just loving the attention?
I don’t think Taryn and David need any introduction at this point. If you haven’t yet seen their Maternity Photo Session and their son’s Birth Story blog posts then head on over and check them out. And be sure to watch their Birth Story video at the end of this post. We incorporated their maternity session, birth story, and newborn session into their sweet video. All the things were incorporated and I am simply loving it!
It is rare that I get to use this freaking adorable knit romper from Lantern Hill Knits at my shoots. It’s newborn size, which is very tiny but fit Layton perfectly with his (almost) 6 pound frame. Are they not the most adorable thing ever?!
