From a photographer’s perspective Wilmington has so many beautiful locations for a photo session. Not only do we have (in my opinion) the most beautiful beaches on the east coast and a charming downtown riverfront laden with cobblestones but we have really beautiful gardens in between. Wilmington is not home to the NC Azalea Festival because of our sand and pines. Seriously, when the azaleas are blooming people go CAH-RAZY for photos in the gardens.
While Airlie Gardens is the #1 location in my book for portrait sessions year round it is especially beautiful in the spring. Tulips, azaleas, wisteria, you name it, it’s there creating the perfect backdrop for a nine month milestone session. With flora and fauna abound one may ask what more do you need? Well it certainly doesn’t hurt to wear the most adorable floral ensemble from Janie and Jack. And when you have a sweet bow in your hair like this one there is certainly no need for a big hat at the garden party. For real though, if I could get away with this outfit I would wear it every other day.
I would like to take this time to say that no Spanish Bluebells, or flora and fauna of any kind, were harmed during this photo session. Seriously, these two little beauties made it out a-okay!
As always a huge thank you to the fantastic gals and guys at Richard Photo Lab for my beautiful film scans.
